It’s not Watercolor Paper!

So I tried out this sample I got from Northwest Art & Frame in West Seattle. I can’t remember who the manufacturer is of the paper but it’s pretty nice. It’s not a watercolor paper but it takes watercolor really well without buckling. It is a “multimedia” paper and one side is smooth while the other side is rough. Similar to having cold press on one side and hot press on the other. It’s a decent paper . I might just buy a pad. We’ll see.

Almost Done .

Working this one out. I like it so far. It’s fun working larger. Of course, Working larger is a little different , not much but a little. My techniques will have to change if I go larger than this block. That’s ok, I’m ready for the challenge. Faces ! They’re fun !

Bigger Is Better !

I’m working on a new Dumb Faces piece. Normally I’ve been working on a 10×12 Arches Hotpress 140lb watercolor block. Well I have another block of the same paper but it’s 18×24. Im going to do some of these larger than I have in the past. I like how it’s coming along. Same thing only bigger !
