I’m so stoked that I took 2 days in a row to spend drawing at Uptown Espresso! I needed to do this. I’ve been spending so much time on other projects, which is cool , but nothing can replace a whole day spent doing what I love! Sometimes I get asked “you can draw realism , why do you waste your time with silly characters?” Pretty simple, they are fun! I love sitting down and taking the filter off my brain and just creating. These guys don’t “have” to be anything, they can just be. They can come out and say hello (or AHHHHH!! more often than not) they don’t have to be Serious Sally and No Fun Ned unless they want to be. When working with realism I don’t get that release like I do with these guys. Now that’s not to say I don’t enjoy realistic pursuits , they are just different. They take a different approach , and bring a different feeling to my work. Honestly I like the fun nature that this work brings. I think that’s why I am enamored with it. Who know where this work is going, I know I don’t but, I happy to hold on and enjoy the ride.
With that said, This one is ready for color.
