Last night I had a really good time teaching a hands on lesson of aerosol painting techniques with Arts Crush ( www.artscrush.org ) and Urban Artworks (http://urbanartworks.org/) .
I started with a some information on paint brands and how artists paint is different from hardware store paint. I Showed some techniques and had the group of about 10 or 12 people try there hand at painting on practice boards. I had outlined a small mural beforehand and had them fill in the faces with color. After they did that I showed them how to clean stuff up and finalize it. Unfortunately time was short so I didn’t get to everything I would have liked to but hopefully everyone had a good time. I stayed after and finished the mini mural that will be installed in Arts Crush’s office.
